Cape Ann Medical Center, Inc. has been providing quality medical care to the residents of the North Shore for almost 40 years. Established in 1970, the founding doctors’ dream was to build a quality group medical practice that would service the local community in a unique way. The group started a relationship with the doctors from Massachusetts General Hospital and further broadened it locally to Addison Gilbert Hospital here in Gloucester.

The relationship between the practice and the community has continued to grow and progress successfully. In 1994, Cape Ann Medical Center began its association with Partners Community Healthcare, Inc. In the ever—changing world of medicine, Cape Ann Medical has been able to strengthen its ability to remain state-of-the-art. It has been able to improve and grow the practice as well as expand its available services.

Through its association with Partners Community Healthcare, Cape Ann Medical Center has continued its successful association with Massachusetts General and has broadened its association with top-tier medical facilities to now include Brigham and Women’s Hospital. These world class institutions have made a commitment to service our patients both near and far, as well as providing many services to support our physicians. cape Ann Medical Center has recruited primary care physicians from top medical schools from throughout the country. The practice employees consist of a tremendously dedicated and talented group of people.

Since her joining cape Ann Medical Center as Executive Director, Mary Hershberg has been striving to achieve her goal of working with the doctors to provide the best medical care for the patients of Cape Ann. She is continually working to improve and streamline this comprehensive professional practice to ensure a positive experience for all patients.

The Cape Ann Medical Center has grown to over 15,000 patients from 13 communities on the North Shore. With its core of primary care physicians, and its cardiology practice, the Medical Center also provides access to a variety of specialists that allows patients to obtain care in a wide range of medical areas locally.
